How NOT to Regret Your Life

Habits today. Success tomorrow.
For most of my life…
I reached for comfort like a newborn infant.
My philosophy?
Habits were for boomers.
Hedonism was the new sheriff in town.
But you know what?
My stats reflected my beliefs…
Skinny fat
Chronic anxiety
Tens of thousands in debt
No motion
Eventually, I realized my wrongs.
Here’s what I changed…

I | death
“Do you want to take a leap of faith, or become an old man filled with regret, waiting to die alone?” — Saito, Inception
Life is a single player game.
The only thing holding you back from reaching your goals is yourself.
More specifically — how you view yourself.
As we get older, our self image gets stained by the ink of reality.
Failure — check
Rejection — check
Eventually, we start believing that we are simply “not meant” for more.
But this is totally misguided.
Why?
If self-image is the obstacle between your current situation and a life of abundance…
Don’t throw away the life.
Change the self-image.
Death to your old self.
Self-image is influenced by two factors:
- Your thinking
- Your habits
I grew up thinking I was a shy kid with no friends and zero aura.
So that’s exactly how I acted.
But I changed this.
How?
I decided who I wanted to be.
Then built the habits to reinforce it.
For example:
“I am a calm, confident, charismatic king.”
Corresponding habits: meditation, lifting, socializing
Expect it to take 6 months of daily repetition to erase your old tendencies.
Yes, this requires working through uncomfortable feelings.
You’re reprogramming decades of faulty thinking.
But every man has a choice:
Embrace discomfort with no guarantee of success
OR
Sit in comfort, waiting for regret.
I’d take the leap.

II | rebirth
If you’re feeling lost but know that something has to change…
Start here.
On this journey, certain habits are more valuable than others.
Why?
Most men share 4 universal goals:
- Fit body
- Calm mind
- Financial independence
- Healthy relationships
Unfortunately, none of these can be bought on a shelf at Costco.
They must be earned.
So if you’ve built habits that don’t serve you…
Rewrite them.
How?
- Change your environment
- Change your friends
Without intentional shifts — you’re destined to be stuck to old ways.
I’ve left cities that enabled comfort.
I’ve traded in so-called friends for time and growth.
It was worth it.
And if that sounds harsh, ask yourself this:
Do you want to continue down your current path?
The work 5 days a week and hit the bars every weekend life?
No hate, because generations of men have decided to spend their time like this.
But if you want something different…
Surround yourself with like-minded people who see the same vision.
Be decisive.
Once you change your thinking and ecosystem…
Success takes care of itself.
