How To Change Your Life So Fast It Feels Illegal

A few months ago I was flying through DFW when I decided to stop by for a pre-board coffee.

Long story short…

This older gentlemen dressed in all black sat down next to me and started a casual conversation.

We ended up chatting about relationships for nearly an hour.

He confessed that throughout his 60 year lifespan — he had married three women, all whom eventually broke up with him.

One time he came home to another man’s Chevy in the driveway.

Damn.

Pretty tragic, right?

Last January, this man said f*ck it and focused solely on himself.

Got into the best shape of his life and tripled his income.

Now he owns multiple homes in TX and has new flames poking him on FB.

Six decades of “bad luck” erased in a fraction.

How?

Months of Monk.

If you’re of able body and mind…

Your only limitations are imagination and focus.

Focus does not come without sacrifice.

But work hard now…

You’ll be rewarded handsomely.

Consider everything outside of your immediate goals as wasteful distractions.

While you’re friends are outside numbing themselves…

Stay on your mission.

Duck those mimetic desires like coronavirus.

You don’t need a temporary chemical boost.

Focus.

Ripped to the Core.

What should you actually work on?

For men — the answer is simple.

  • Creative purpose
  • Income generation
  • Physique

Let’s talk aesthetics.

Here’s an obvious yet brutal truth…

People treat you differently based on your external appearance.

When I was a skinny fat pedestrian desperate for love…

I was REPEATEDLY rejected into the emptiness abyss.

And nobody gave two sh*ts.

Options came after I got into shape, and ironically I cared less about them.

So mold physical fitness into your identity.

No excuses.

Choices.

Your city is directly responsible for how fast you can grow.

Yet most people conclude that the comfort of their hometown outweighs the pain of temporary adjustment.

That’s fine.

But you’ll likely see below average to negative growth.

The right location can EASILY 3x your rate of improvement.

Would you be more motivated to get fit in California or West Virginia?

Consider these micro factors as well…

  • How close is the nearest grocery store?
  • Do I love the gym here?
  • What type of people live here?
  • How is the climate?

Don’t sell yourself short in the name of comfort.

Zero progress hurts more in the long run.

Be the Black Sheep.

They think you’re lame for wanting to stay home and write…

But who gives a f*ck?

People who ragged on Van Gogh died nameless.

Society overvalues short-term fun that does NOTHING to expand the vision.

And if you can’t think for yourself…

You’re defaulted to these junk values.

Anyways —

Once you adopt a self-improvement mindset, there is no better pleasure than your own personal growth.

Do what others are too afraid to do.

No Time to Die.

I used to spend copious amounts of time on sh*t that didn’t move the needle.

  • Excessive planning
  • Email perfectionism
  • Reddit research
  • Meetings

If your attention is being pulled in a dozen directions…

How can you expect to focus on what’s important?

It comes down to a handful of actions.

Determine those.

Ignore everything else with confidence.

And board the direct flight.
