How to Get Ahead of 99% of People (6–12 Months)

Time to wake up

Most people spend a lifetime repeating the same actions…

Expecting different results.

Only the fortunate few actually make it out.

How?

The truth is…

Everyone knows what it takes, but rarely DO what it takes.

So the real question is —

How can we force into our potential?

# 1 | THE “WHAT IFS”

I was always a dreamer.

By the time I finished college, I knew I wanted to build my own business and travel the world.

I also knew that I wanted to be aesthetic AF.

Basically — Tony Stark IRL.

But guess what?

Until recently, I never pulled the trigger.

Why?

“What if” syndrome.

“What if I end up penniless and alone?”

This was my disease.

It plagued EVERY aspect of my life —

Walk down the street to ask out my crush?

Nah, I could get hit by a bus.

But I was dead wrong.

Here’s why…

# 2 | RATIONAL OPTIMISM

One summer, I ran across Naval’s “How to Get Rich” podcast series.

In one segment of the podcast, he talks about the power of overriding our pessimism bias…

And adopting rational optimism.

A rational optimist is someone who sees the upsides in every opportunity while avoiding total ruin.

This is how we should make decisions.

For example:

Asking out your crush — death, bankruptcy, or prison?

No?

Shoot your shot.

# 3 | REFRAME FAILURE

Ironically…

Your life is headed towards failure until you start failing.

In other words —

If you’re not challenging yourself to take risks daily…

You’re shackling yourself to the status quo.

Many struggle with overcoming the fear of failure.

The cure?

Reframe it.

Your missions are NOT win/lose scenarios.

You’re simply building a skill.

Mastery might take 10,000 hours—

But it’s worth every step of the journey.

# 4 | DO THINGS YOU HATE

There’s probably a metric ton of things you hate doing.

Personally, I dread making small talk.

But I force myself every opportunity I get.

Why?

It retrains my brain to STOP AVOIDING anything remotely uncomfortable

This translates to a higher pain threshold for the goals I actually care about.

Dislike ab workouts?
Do them.

Mental fortitude is obligatory for the 1% club.

# 5 | ACTIONABLE HABITS

There’s nothing stopping you from being fit, happy, and wealthy.

It just takes mental reprogramming

If you’re more of a checklist type, here’s what I like to do:

  • Breath meditation for 10 minutes daily
  • Gratitude journaling for 1 minute daily
  • Confidence mantra to stop overthinking
  • Embracing discomfort (doing unpleasant things)

These change pessimism into rational optimism.

Create the mindset, and the world is for your taking.

Cheers.
