A few years ago I stared at a dimly lit terminal screen reading…
FLIGHT DELAYED.
It was 4:30AM, and all I could think about was getting home and watching Narcos in bed.
But now forced to survive a little longer, I head to the nearest coffee to lift my spirits.
After 15 minutes of sipping mud solo…
Boredom strikes.
I’m making my way back to my gate, only to find that a new couple has taken my spot.
It was a scruffy man with a collection of face tats (kind of like Post Malone) with a young woman dressed like a PhD.
Interesting.
My initial reaction was the “he must have money” card.
But unless rich people fly Spirit —
This didn’t apply.
So what separated this man from the hundreds of guys in her DMs?
I couldn’t figure it out as a rookie 22 year old…
But now I know.
Power of the mind.
Once I began my personal growth journey…
I discovered the sole determinant of you trajectory.
Your perception of reality.
Life is molded by the power of your mind.
Sadly, most men are stripped of this superpower by the time they reach adulthood.
Trapped in a box of conformity.
Don’t let anyone try and convince you that you’re only capable of average.
That’s bullsh*t.
I used to be the guy who saw himself as an average passenger.
And as a consequence…
I received below average results in each area of my life.
This changes once you recognize how mindset dictates possibilities.
Because you know what?
If you THINK she’s out of your league…
You’ll make it happen.
Problems.
Things are only important when YOU give them value.
Don’t mindlessly fill your life with mimetic desires.
Stop wasting energy on things outside of your control.
Focus on you.
Growth is exponential when you only perform the highest tasks for your goals and toss the rest to the side.
For me, this meant getting into the best shape of my life and finding my personal philosophy.
Embrace detours along the way —
1/100 is still 1.
Stop caring.
We’re all skydiving towards Earth with no parachute.
So if they’re not going to leave flowers at your tombstone…
Why care?
Most people are going to find a way to hate anyways.
But opinions are like arseholes…
Who gives a sh*t?
The worst thing you can do as a man is leave raw potential on the table.
Ask the girl.
Start the business.
Lift the weight.
Do what gives you purpose.
Even with the unexpected delays and turbulence…
You’ll be at your destination before you know it.
