Your Life Changes When You Accept This Uncomfortable Truth

A few years ago I was walking with a friend who I hadn’t seen in months.

It was a breezy night, and some of the trees were rustling over.

We joked about life while sipping on burnt coffee.

Like no time was lost.

Eventually, I ask him about relationships…

And an unusual silence enters our bubble.

Before I could switch the subject…

He tells me how this classmate started dating his long-time crush right before the break.

He was devastated.

And I felt for him.

But admittedly — my friend was focusing on the wrong things.

And I wish I could have told him the truth there, but the timing wasn’t right.

So I’ll say it now…

Life is a competitive sport.

And the only way to avoid a TKO is to sit on the sidelines as a spectator.

Pain and defeat are part of the learning process.

And experience has revealed to me…

Success rests on your shoulders alone.

If you’re not seeing the results you desire…

It’s time to reexamine EVERY aspect of your life until they appear.

Friends will be sympathetic to your down times…

But unfortunately — this doesn’t change outcomes.

Move forward.

Our world rewards those who can provide value.

The best men take home medallions.

While the average can only watch.

Personal growth is first and foremost.

If you’re not building or learning today…

You’ve already lost.

4000 weeks happen in a blink of an eye, or so I’ve been told.

So let’s not waste another second —

Work towards being the highest version of yourself.

Develop the habits that take you there.

  • Health
  • Wealth
  • Calm
  • Communication

Once you master the above…

World is your oyster.

Show me a single man with these skills who is struggling to create the life he wants.

Now is the time to be self-centered.

Party later.

Here’s what no one tells you.

Even when you start doing everything correctly…

You will lose.

A lot.

You’ll have setbacks.

But this is all part of the transformative process.

What’s important is that you take each experience and FRAME it in a way that serves you.

There’s a positive or lesson in every moment.

Take that energy and create something.

Why not you?

Enter the arena with your head high.

Go.
