Your Life Hangs on These 5 Uncomfortable Choices

So yesterday I opened up Spotify to a rush of pure adrenaline…

Chris Williamson x Naval.

I nearly fainted.

No joke, this is the podcast equivalent to Ronaldo & Messi playing chess.

About halfway into the episode, there’s a question:

How can a man optimize his decisions for an attractive life?

Here’s what I found…

DECISION # 1 | LOCATION

The place you call home determines everything:

Work, social, dating life…

If you’re a single guy living in Buttf*ck, USA…

You WILL miss opportunities.

As a man who has lived in 3 countries and countless cities…

The grass IS greener.

So live in a location that fertilizes your mission.

Even your proximity to places in your current residency matters:

  • How far are you from the gym?
  • Where are the socials?
  • Is there transportation?
  • What is the culture like?

It all influences your daily habits.

And we never think about it, apart from familiar or cheap.

Ask yourself this:

Are you living in the MOST optimal environment for your goals?

Base your decision on 2–3 priorities max.

Get your money up.

Arrive.

DECISION # 2 | YOUR PARTNER

Naval and Chris stress the importance of dipping toxic relationships early and not marrying the first person you jive with.

But they’re missing a brutal truth:

You need to be attractive to have options.

If you’re struggling, you’ll have a scarcity mindset by default.

So how do you do it?

These are the aesthetic qualities that opened doors for me:

  • A ripped body
  • Skincare regimen
  • Top barber and grooming routine
  • Dress fly (regardless of the destination)

Your physical is the prerequisite.

Once you have options — selecting the right partner is easy.

DECISION # 3 | THE BROS

Five Chimps Theory:

You turn into the people you spend the most time with.

Most men take the comfortable path of hanging out with the old buddies and doing the same sh*t.

Even when the vision hasn’t aligned in years.

It’s difficult — but don’t rely on them if you want growth.

Why?

You’re limiting your potential.

When you start hanging out with fit dudes on their grind…

You shift your habits to emulate them.

The result is progress on 10x.

So how do you find your people?

Gym, work, sports clubs, conferences…

Again, frequent places that align with your goals.

Skip the bar.

DECISION # 4 | YOUR MISSION

Life is short.

Ensure that you’re not working on the wrong thing.

Naval says:

“Do the thing that looks like work to others but feels like play to you.”

Once you find it — lock in.

To reach your highest potential, also avoid the common attention traps:

  • Social media
  • Consumerism
  • News

Status signaling gets you nowhere but mediocre.

DECISION # 5 | SCHEDULE

I used to live on drone mode:

Wake up, work, watch TV, repeat…

Days would pass by without thought.

SNAP OUT OF IT.

Your schedule today reflects the man you are in 6 months.

If you’re lifting, reading, and iterating…

Every day is better than the last.

Spend 30 minutes on this today.

How can you actionably better yourself?

Here are some high-reward ideas:

  • 7 minute mediation
  • Car ride audiobook
  • Cold showers
  • Write before bed
  • Cardio for 15 minutes

It only comes once.

Don’t waste it.
